Carol
Block is a painter from Pittsburgh who works mostly with oils on canvas
or panel and enjoys painting people, still life, and animals.
Her work has been included in juried art exhibitions in 25 states
and has been awarded several prizes.
Carol majored in art at Chatham College (Pittsburgh, PA) and has
a master's degree in art education from the University of Toledo.
She has also taken art courses at Bowling Green State University
(OH), the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art (Philadelphia, PA), and
Carnegie Mellon University (Pittsburgh). She has taught art-related
courses at the University of Toledo, the Corcoran School of Art
(Washington, D.C.), and at Southern Seminary Junior College (Buena
Vista, VA).
